How do we pronounce Dengue?

I was literally baffled hearing people pronouncing dengue fever the different ways they liked it.
There were reasons why I heard it many a time in the last few days.
I came across people cutting across doctors, nurses, scientists, news readers, friends et al.
Dengue was heard as Dengoo, dingo, deng, dengu but very few pronounced it correctly. The correct one seemed dengi. Almost all english news channels pronouced it correctly over the past 2 years. Try the link and hear it.

Bro. Common people in India know it as 'Dengooo'.
Doctors may know the right way but may not use it as the patient may not understand it when called correctly.

Hi there, this is an interesting topic to comment upon.

Here in India, it is shameful that media personnells in many regional channels throughout the country and even in news channels, we find them mispronounce the word DENGUE as 'Dengoo'.
But of course, there are a few media personnells in each and every region of the country, who correctly spell it as 'Deanghi' or 'Deanghee'.
I think the reason why most Indians like to pronounce it as 'Dengoo' is because it seems too appealing to hear rather than any valid reason.
